FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING'S E-PORTFOLIO

On 24TH January 2015, my course mates and I have attended the Professional Development Activity organised by Taylor’s Business School from 9 in the morning to 1 in the evening for the ‘Diploma In Business’ students in order for us to improve on our team building skills. For the purpose of this event, we had to form a group and participate in some team building activities, such as Dodge Ball, Treasure Hunt and a few other activities. There were five games in total, and my group was the champion for three games, which secured us a point of ninety in total. But unfortunately, we only got 2ND place overall as we lost points in two games. Nonetheless, it was definitely a great experience for all of us to be closer to each other and to work together as a team, and we have also shared the hamper we won together as a team.

Apart from that, my group and I had just finished our Financial Accounting’s group assignment recently, which worth 20% of our total grade. For this particular assignment, my group leader had assigned me to do the ‘Statement Of Cash Flows’ by using the direct method. To be honest, I had a tough time finishing my assigned work because this particular part is very new to me, and I am lack of expertise to finish it like a professional. Thus, I did a little research in order to complete it the best I could and met my group members during the weekends to help out each other with what we could, and I really hope that what my group did was what our lecturer/tutor has expected from my group as we wouldn’t want to disappoint her and get as high marks as we could because I am really targeting to get an A in this module.
